I’ve recently been added to a great little Facebook group called ‘Work That Body’ where a group of people share their fitness routine, their diets and so much more! Thus I feel like my new post should be a healthy one! My all time favourite thing to snack on is a piece of banana bread. You can make a loaf of this delicious yumminess with a couple of basic ingredients but lemme just show you a healthy recipe. I want to say I created this recipe and I’m quite the chef, but this is really a mix of mistakes whilst making the bread and a lot of online recipes!

So as I’m typing this, a sweet aroma is filling my house slowly but surely. I say slowly because this baby need to bake in the over for about 45minutes, or more, depending on your oven!

First of all, here is what you’ll need

→ about 200 grams of rolled oats
→ 4 grams of baking soda, I got baking soda, whip it through the glass, making money fast. See what I did there…
→ a tablespoon of salt
→ 90 grams of coconut sugar
→ half of a ripe, large avocado
→ 2 large eggs
→ 3 overripe, large bananas
→ optionally: a cute loaf pan

Preheat your oven to 185°C
Stir the dry ingredients together, so the 4 first ingredients in the list above.
In a second bowl, mash the bananas, stir them in with the eggs and the avocado.
Bring the two together and stir well. Pour the batter you just made in a loaf pan.
Let it bake for about 45 to 50 minutes.
There! Easy right?

So there you go, you just recreated my recipe for a delicious banana bread! If you do make it, make sure to send me pictures and tell me how yummy it is!
And if, like me, you need some refined sugar in your life, all day err day, well then you can add some dark chocolate sprinkles in the batter before sliding that baby in the oven!

Now, there are two kinds of people in the world, the ones who wait ’till the loaf cools off before eating, and then there are people like me who just dig in that steaming heaven and shove it in their mouths. Yup who’s with me?
